Carol Aaron’s new series focuses on eight women sexually trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein who were ignored during the hearings by DOJ head Pam Bondi. The paintings express the pain of being seen but not acknowledged.

This work marks a shift for Aaron, as she takes a political stand to highlight these survivors’ anger, determination, and hurt. Using encaustic on birch with AI-generated images of young women, the series demands that viewers see and listen to those who have been silenced.

Completed over five months, the paintings aim to evoke empathy and recognition of the survivors’ strength. A portion of sales will support Unbound Now, a nonprofit fighting human trafficking in Texas.

This series is a powerful and urgent call to witness and justice.
