My B1rds series is an ever evolving flock of photographs of Austin grackles I’ve taken through the years. I take their pictures at stoplights, HEB parking lots and various local resturants with outdoor seating. I reduced the image to just the essentials in black and transfer them on to a colorful encaustic background. Sizes run from 5 × 5 × 1.5 inches up to 8 × 6 × 1.5 except the Cloud B1rd series which are 10 × 6 x .5 inches.
